Etymology
As for the study of origin of the etymology is concerned, the root words are 'paidos' and 'agogos" are of Greek Origin meaning ' child' and 'leader' - giving it the meaning the 'act of leading to the child to the school' / studies/ learning.
A teacher is seen as a pedagogue –the one who dons the role of teaching-leader or facilitator - and is well-versed with the 'art and science' of teaching-learning methods and practices
