ABCs of group discussion as a research or evaluation tool

For a reasonable group discussion a group consists of three (mini triangulated group) to six (small multi-disciplinary group) to 10 assorted group) members or participants with a freedom and equal respect to articulate their views on a given subject or topic or problem.

Group discussion is not a debate or matter of argumentation. The coordinator of the group discussion leaves it the members to comment, react, elaborate, add, present alternatives, clarify, seek clarifications, exemplify, illustrate, explain advantages, suggest values, etc., without due respect to other member.

Often a group discussion takes place from 30 minutes to one hour for general purposes.
