Viewpoint on Buddhist Law of Karma

The Dalai Lama (2026) explains that karma, or action, functions as a natural law of cause and effect rather than divine judgment, where intentions dictate the consequences of thoughts, words, and deeds. The Buddha's law of karma emphasizes that individuals can empower themselves by understanding the law and enabling themselves to shape a positive future through compassionate actions.

INSPIRED POEM

Each deed we do, a seed we sow,

From simple thought, or word, or go.

No judge above, no score to keep,

Just natural laws, sown in so deep.

Your mind's true aim, it shapes the fruit,

From deepest root, to highest shoot.

When kindness guides what you embrace,

A brighter future takes its place.

With pure consciouness, you are free,

To build your world, for all to see.

Through gentle deeds, our power takes hold,

A story of compassion, brave and bold.

What we do, what we say,

Shapes our tomorrows, day by day.

If kindness flows, then kindness grows,

Sunshine follows, where water goes.

We hold the power, in our hand,

To shape the life across the land.

With open hearts and minds so clear,

We choose the good, and banish fear.
