Prince Arjun, so brave and so strong,

With his bow Gandiv, played a song.

His arrows flew so swift and true,

White Devdat conch and a mighty hue.

He learned with head and heart so keen,

A well built warrior, never seen.

Like tortoise, pulled senses within,

From worldly wants, and all their din.

His mind like lotus, pure and bright,

He worked hard in flame light at night.

Though power he held, a simple life,

Arjun as a child lived free from strife.
