Dr Lalit Kishore's Commonwealth Award announcement will be made today late night during the four-day on-line conference of Association for Science Education (ASE) conference. Dr Kishore is one of the three recipients of the Findel-CASTME Award for the year 2020-21.

The award scheme is run by the Commonwealth Association of Science, Technology and Mathematics Educators (CASTME[1]), an organisation established in 1974 with an aim of sharing best practice across the STEM disciplines and to demonstrate the importance of STEM to local environments, schools and communities. Awards are offered for educational projects, which address the social or human context of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
The Findel-CASTME Education Awards for 2020 have been won by Sarath Premawardana (Sri Lanka); Dr Lalit Kishore (India) and Prof.Ibiyinka Ogunlade (Nigeria). Dr Kishore won the award for his innovative project "Middle School Science to Spin, Swirl and Sway for Self-Development of Science Educator as Action Researcher and Learner-Teacher."
