Owing to the facts that most people are visual learners, enhanced use of digital media in teaching and large availability of smart phones and laptops to students; the emphasis on visual communication in classroom learning and on-line learning has increased.
In teaching, visual communication makes use of visual elements such as visual symbols, infographics, line sketches, stick drawings, sketch notes, GIFs, micro-videos, pictures and screen shots to transact content, concepts, messages, ideas, feelings and information. In short, visual-communicative approach to teaching combines content with visual symbols, still images and moving images.
