POEM ON PURPOSEFUL LIFE

No longer self-centered, no longer greedy,

In the materialist life of despair,

Let deconditioned minds awaken,

Free from the prison of the ego's snare.

Renew yourself, be compassionate,

Embrace love, kindness, and care,

Partake in the threads that unite us,

Be instrument of peace, played with prayer.

Strengthen the web of humankind,

To live a life that is meaningful,

Tread purposeful paths with cosmic ties,

And, embrace the spiritual, the ethereal.

In gloomy world, let inner light take flight,

And, transform our despair into shared delight.
