Be not a progeny of mind

Be not captive of mind -

The mind created by

Sensual experiences

Both incidental and deliberate -

Be not egoist!

An egoist mind

Breeds desires, cravings, lust and greed -

The devilish vices -

Gateways to strife, sufferings and hell

Identify not your 'self' with mind

Rather, be the master of the mind

As 'higher self'

Desire not enlightenment

All desires are strife

Rather purify mind

To get a feel

Of what is beyond mind -

The real you

~*~

Purify mind

Empty out all the rubbish

That mind has gathered

For its own gratifications

Remove the evils

Enlightenment will dawn

Desire not enlightenment

All desires are vices

All desires breed sorrows
