Title: NASA announces exciting discovery of seven exoplanets around a single star

-Dr. Lalit Kishore | 23 Feb 2017

According to NASA, astronomers have discovered Earth-like planets, called exoplanets' around a star called TRAPPIST-1 and three of them are being seen as hospitable and could sustain life.

NASA has dubbed the discovery as record setting since they have found a solar system in which good number of earth-like planets exists in the habitable zone.

The discovery has been announced by NASA by calling a news conference and expressed the hope that life at some planets of other solar systems seemingly could exist but its confirmation could be a matter of time only.

NASA is excited on this "major step forward" in finding the answer to the exciting question related to life in other solar systems.

Astronomers have hypothesized that there could be billions of potentially habitable Earth-sized planets in our galaxy or Milky Way and slowly some of them are being discovered by modern telescopes.

With the use of space telescopes, the discovery of exoplanets and extraterrestrial life has intensified recently. Astronomers are now concentrating on the planets that orbit in habitable zones of different remote stars with the possibility of liquid water on its surface, a prerequisite for hosting life

The excitement attached to the present discovery is due to the reason is that for the first time so many Earth-sized planets circling the same star.
