In 2025, the main festival of Diwali or Deepavali - Indian festival of lights - is going to be celebrated on October 20. The festival symbolizes the spiritual victory of good over evil and dispelling the darkness of ignorance of existential truth to foster intelligence.

In other words, the festival reminds us to purify our minds of the evil and live a purposeful and meaningful life. The basic message of the festival is to strive for soul-realisation that leads to enlightenment and union with the Super Consciousness.

DIWALI: ACROSTIC POEM

D: Deep within, the shadows flee,

I: Ignorance fades, now we can see.

W: Wicked thoughts begin to cease,

A: A light within brings inner peace.

L: Liberation's path we find,

I: Illuminated heart and mind.

A DECASTICH POEM ON DIWALI

Be own lamp, with mindful deeds  that shine,

Break the bonds that hold you tight to the line.

Make darkness of evils to fade away,

Dispel falsehood gloom, showing brighter day.

Ignorance fades, like shadows in night,

As soulfulness sparks begin to gleam

With inner beacon, shining so  bright,

To  enlighten and end deluding dream.

To know oneself, the path begins to clear,

Release from cycles, holding ever dear,
