This year, the International Day of Peace is being observed with the theme “Shaping Peace Together” notified by the United Nations.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, the UN has urged the world community to celebrate the day by spreading 'compassion, kindness and hope' and rejecting 'discrimination or hatred' in the face of the pandemic.
To link the observance with learning by school kids, one can teach them to draw the dove with olive branch as symbol of peace (Watch inset GIF for guidance).
