The value education program of Science of Living or Jeevan Vigyan or Vigyan is a non-profit educational and training program rum the Jeewan Vigyan Academy of the Terapanth Swetanbar Jain that combines the Jain yoga and meditation techniques with a specific set of values oriented education and conscious awakening physical activities.
It is held that the program has been designed as an additional pillar to education system that complements contemporary education. The program has 12 themes which were conceptualized by Acharya Shri Mahapragya by drawing inspiration from works and wisdom of Acharya Shri Tulsi .
I have happened to work for some time with at the Jeevan Vigyan Academy on the campus of Jain Vishav Bharati at Ladnun in Rajasthan for curriculum development, teacher training and research work.
The content, experiences and activities in the Jeevan Vigyan curriculum are based on Jainism aiming at the holistic personality development of students. The course works as a separate discipline of study at higher education level leading to Ph. D. Degree
