The Findel CASTME Education Award-2021 has been won by Indian STEM educator, Dr Lalit Kishore, associated with Jaipur-based CULP-NGO and Disha Foundation for his entry "DESIGNING AND DEVELOPING TEACHER HANDBOOK FOR SCIENCE EXPERIENCES AT REMOTE SMALL RURAL PRIMARY SCHOOLS THROUGH USE OF MINI-TOOLS KIT: ESSENTIALITY OF CONTEXTUALISATION AND TEACHER EMPOWERMENT" that displays an innovative approach to increasing STEM awareness for rural students.
Kathleen Nugent Vice Chair CASTME wrote to Dr Kishore via email, "I am delighted to let you know that the CASTME Trustees were unanimous in their decision to award the Findel CASTME Education Award 2021 to the Centre for Unfolding Learning Potentials (CULP), NGO Jaipur, Rajasthan, India."
"The Awards will be formally announced in January 2022 at the ASE/Association for Science Education/Annual Conference by the President of ASE, Professor Michael Reiss and will also be also be publicized in the CASTME Newsletter and available to be used in Findel publicity material. The entry will also be available on the CASTME website," she added.
