Eight Bhagavad Gita Inspired Quatrains for School Students
Do what is right, No thought of gain,
Let action shine, Through sun and rain.
No thought of prize, No gain in sight,
Just duty's call, Let ego fall.
***
To play your part, look back not in greed
Plant goodness seed, in thought and deed.
The work itself, the only fruit,
The Gita's song, a gentle route.
***
Anger flares, a blinding light,
Confusion spins, a tangled thread,
The Gita speaks, in darkest night,
rid of five evils, it softly said,
**
For wanting binds and makes us burn,
A wheel that constantly spins 'n turns.
Release the grasp, purify your mind,
True inner calm you would then find
***
Let go of ego, It's a heavy chain,
To find the quiet, 'n endure pain,
Seek life's purpose, strong and true,
The Gita's path, a guiding light, anew.
***
Free from all desires, let ego go,
To face the world, and life's woes,
Each dawn arrives, a spirit anew,
To find equipoise, right and true.
***
Devotion's goal for a yearning soul,
The path sets free, to let go and be,
Surrender to God, with sacrifice zeal
Gita's wisdom, in heart we can feel
***
In surrender, we receive divine grace,
No clinging tight, to earthly ways.
A sacrifice, a let go, and to be,
The Gita's way, and path to set free
