Empty Out Mind to Create Alert and Aware Mind: J Krisnamurit's Viewpoint, Quotes and Inspired Quintets
VIEWPOINT
J Krishnamurti, noted thinker and philosopher, views mind's chatter and clutter through terms like an "occupied mind," "mental chatter," and "confusion." According to his teachings, a cluttered mind is a prison built by our own desires and past conditionings, and true clarity only emerges when the mind completely empties itself of its stored content and you become pure awareness.
QUOTES
Whatever a confused mind does, at any level, will bring about more confusion. Any action born of confusion brings further confusion.
Our minds are chattering, thought moving from one association to another, from one desire to another... possessed by ideas, by knowledge, by all the experiences that one has had... So, this mind being so occupied, both consciously as well as unconsciously, is never free.
That emptiness of the mind cannot be produced... That emptiness comes as a sunset comes of an evening, full of beauty, enchantment, and richness; that comes as naturally as the blossoming of a flower when there is no fear, when there are no escapes, when there is no boredom, and when there is no seeking. (It's pure awareness!)
The mind must find out how to empty itself of all its content, and yet live in this world and function efficiently.
The moment I am aware that I am aware, I'm not aware... Awareness means the observer is not
INSPIRED QUINTETS
A storm in your mind may appear,
With worries and doubts that feel near.
Just let them pass by,
Like clouds in the sky,
Observer is you, calm and clear.
Cloudy mind makes thunder of thoughts,
By holding on, peace is not bought.
Just let the thoughts go,
And watch the peace flow,
With pure 'n pious presence now fraught.
Thoughts float by like clouds in the sky,
They come and they go and drift by.
You are the vast space,
So let go the chase,
And just rest as pure awareness high
