The 2025 edition of the Commonwealth Education Calendar, issued on behalf of the Commonwealth Consortium for Education, has been released. The calander mentions about the closing date for receiving the Findel-CASTME Award entries as October 31, 2025.

According to the CASTME website, for over 30 years, the CASTME Award Scheme has highlighted educational projects worldwide that address the social or human context of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

"The award scheme is run by the Commonwealth Association of Science, Technology and Mathematics Educators (CASTME), established in 1974 to share best practice across the STEM disciplines and demonstrate STEM's importance to local environments, schools and communities. Awards are offered for educational projects addressing the social or human context of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Any group or individual involved in any form of education in the broadest senses, formal or informal, within societies can enter, including preschool, Primary or Secondary. Additionally, Tertiary education projects can be entered from schools, colleges, universities or communities. To confirm if you can enter, please supply your full name, complete address and any queries to CASTME Vice Chair (Awards) Kathleen Nugent," informs the website with request to the entrants to send entries for 2025 Findel CASTME Awards to: kathnugent1@gmail.com

The successful recipients of the five awards will be announced at the Association for Science Education Conference (ASE), held in early January 2026 in England. Information about the conference is available at www.ASE.org.uk.
