The Commonwealth Association of Science, Technology and Mathematics Educators (CASTME) awards, Co-partnered by Findel International, in which innovative sTEM project reports are invited from C'Wealth counties for three awards and a few commendation awards at times, The awards are presented to at the Association for Science Education (ASE) Conference in the UK in early January. The conference this time id being held at the University of Nottingham.
The Findel-CASTME awards and include: (1) STEM Education Award, which is given to the project that demonstrates an innovative approach to increasing STEM awareness at primary, secondary or tertiary levels; (2) Protect Our Planet Award, which is given to a STEM project that focuses on Sustainable Development Goals like climate change, clean water, environmental conservation or responsible consumption; and (3) Community Project Award, which is given to a community project that focuses on STEM awareness raising among children, care-givers, mothers, fathers or in the community.
The CASTME is an organization located at Commonwealth Secretariat in London that promotes the social relevance of teaching science, engineering, technology, and mathematics in Commonwealth countries.
