Four of the Five C’Wealth Awards-2022 Won by Indian Educators

The notification in the CASTME e-Newsletter  (No.20. 2023) informed that Findel CASTME Awards-2022  were announced at the Association of Science Education (ASE) conference held  in January 2023 for the projects that displayed an innovative approach to increasing STEM awareness, .s


The Education Award was given to the project  “ Action Through Enterprise Ghana STEM Education/ Computer Suite in Inclusion Centre, Lawra in Upper West Ghana” submitted by Gabriel Maanibe.Director of Operations.

 

The Protect Our Planet Award was Presented to a STEM project which focuses on the Sustainable Development Goals such as Climate Change, Responsible Consumption and Clean Water went to  Nikhar Bridge School Rajasthan India for  the project “Imparting Experiences for Science Processes and Laboratory Techniques to Rural Muslim Girls of Bridge School with Discarded Ball Point Pens -"Reuse of discarded materials for hands on science learning" submitted by Rama Sharma and Beena Mali.


The Community Award was presented to a community project focused on mothers, fathers, carers and children and/or on raising awareness of STEM in the community submitted by Tetara Debi Academy, India Development of Science Area carried out by Carol Singh on behalf of TD Education Charity


A  Special Commendation Certificate was awarded to Dr Bhavesh Pandya for Mathematical and science education through stories without use of compound conjunctions. Gujarat, India


Another Certificate of Commendation was awarded to Dr Lalit Inshore, visiting teacher at the Plenum School in India for the project “Towards Reusing Plastics Trash of School and Nearby Villages for STEAM  Education related to Climate Change Awareness and Sustainability.”


Of the five Commonwealth Awards-2022, for have been won by the Indian educators  making the country proud.
