Google marks physicist-mathematician SN Bose's contributions to quantum theory with sketch doodle

"Thank you Satyendra Nath Bose for revolutionizing the world of physics. Your discovery really shook up quantum mechanics!" stated Google on its website and putting a sketch doodle of the physicist and mathematician Bose on its home page.

The website further states, "Today’s Doodle celebrates Indian physicist and mathematician Satyendra Nath Bose and his contribution to the Bose-Einstein Condensate. On this day in 1924, he sent his quantum formulations to Albert Einstein who immediately recognized it as a significant discovery in quantum mechanics."

While dwelling deeply on Planck’s radiation formula, he found that something was amiss in counting the number of particles. He stated experimenting with his own theories and wrote a research report "Planck’s Law and the Hypothesis of Light Quanta" which was initially rejected by research journals.

However, when Bose sent his findings to Einstein who 'applied Bose’s formula to a wide range of phenomena. Bose’s theoretical paper became one of the most important findings in quantum theory.'
