Creating word clouds can been seen as a quick visually-disruptive engagement of the audience or learners on a topic to quickly identify the most common keywords and themes related to descriptive text.


Making students to read text, identify the keywords (nouns, adjectives, verbs, ideas, emotions, concept labels) provides a broad comprehensive picture of key ideas and themes leading to enhancement of analytical thinking at a glance.


When students are exposed to the skill of word cloud making, it provides training in cognitive skill of useful for summarizing large amount of information or datasets. It has been seen that the word clouds readily reveal the central ideas, glossary, keywords, vocabulary and recurring concepts within a text in an engaging way
