Snippet Commentary

The marketing approach for Maha Shivratri by certain self-styled spiritual leaders appeared to merge elements of contemporary wellness branding, opulence, and a glamorous allure, transforming self-growth and self-care into a fashionable, visually appealing experience for the affluent and their devoted followers. It integrated upscale aesthetics, social media promotion, and luxurious experiences with practices such as meditation and messages of mindful living. The festival presented itself as a personal, chic expression, designed to be visually striking and suitable for Instagram

Enlightenment: A Poem

Enlightened is the one who sees so clear,

The world's illusions, painted bright and bold,

A fleeting show, a whispered lie to hear,

A story that is destined to grow old.

They see the trap that woven desires lay,

The hungry ghost that craves and will not cease,

The siren song that leads so far astray,

And find within a quiet, inner peace.

Untouched by scents, by sounds, by what is seen,

No longer swayed by pleasure or by pain,

They stand serene, where earthly joys have been,

A silent witness to the sun and rain.

Amidst the change, their spirit finds its rest,

Equipped to know, to love, and to be blessed.
