The Plea

Shahjahan (2005) urges that we need to incorporate spirituality into the academy to regain a transformative way of knowing the world and ourselves. It's essential to remove the barriers that constrain spiritual expression in institutions. We should utilize spiritually based inquiry across various disciplines. This will guide students towards soulful learning by connecting spirituality with different fields of knowledge. There is dire need to start working on integrating and centering spirituality within the academy and different knowledge areas [1].

Inspired Poem

In halls of learning, minds take flight,

But something's missing, dimmed the light.

Let's open doors, and let soul in,

Beyond the books, where truths begin.

Undo the walls, the rigid lines,

Where heart and soul no longer shine.

Let spirit guide, in every field,

From science's quest to art revealed.

Connect the ancient with the new,

Let truth and spirit see us through.

A wider vision, clear and bright,

With soul and knowledge, filled with light.

Let spirit guide, each thought we share,

A kinder world, beyond compare.
