Integrated BEd - a four-year BEd course under the NEP-2020 - combines a bachelor's degree such as B.A. or B.Sc. with professional teacher training with an objective of achieving the following two aspects: (1) deeper understanding of subject matter and (2) comprehensive pedagogical skills for effective teaching The aim is to blend theoretical knowledge and practical teaching experience in classrooms continuously for four years to develop dedicated and pedagogically sound teachers by including internships and specialized subject focus; by preparing pupil teachers to become well-rounded teachers

Keeping this in view, along with learning the disciplinary content, the teachers must get proficient in respective subject pedagogies. The pedagogies of science subjects are well developed due to various science instruction improvement reforms in the 20th century Pedagogies of school subjects such as language (English, Hindi, Sanskrit, etc.), humanities (History, Economics, Civics, Geography, Social Studies, Home Science, etc.), health, yoga, and physical education Also, the knowledge of 'gender, school, and society;' 'curriculum development and delivery;'e-learning;' 'assessment of learning;' and 'inclusive education' will also be taught.
