International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2025 urges for disability-inclusive societies

The theme for International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) 2025 being observed on December 3 is "Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress". the United Nations-designated observance is meant to promote the rights and well-being of people with disabilities worldwide.
The UN Chief António Guterres in his messages urged the world community to commit to working side-by-side with persons with disabilities in all their diversity, as equal partners. "When inclusion is real, everyone benefits. Together, we can build more accessible, resilient societies where all of us thrive," he stated
Equity, inclusion and opportunity for all: Decastich
A world we build, strong and true,
For everyone, me and you.
Inclusion's call, a guiding light,
To make what's wrong, now right.
Equity's hand, to level the field,
Where chances bloom, and dreams revealed.
Opportunity's door, open wide,
With equal chance, on every side.
No one behind, a promise deep,
A future bright, for all to keep.
