Novel corona virus variants -

Strange strains

Virulent variants

Multiple mutants -

Are ever evolving

To become daring-n-deadlier

Experts are foxed

With rapid transmission

With reduced neutralization response

With inability of vaccines to curb variants

Is the war against COVID -

The Invisible Enemy -

80-160 nanometers in size -

Lost for forever!

The war is on unequal terms -

Even positive individuals show

Delayed symptoms or no symptoms -

Warriors are taken by surprise

The 'flight for life'

Seems to be the only way out

By making oneself unavailable for fight

Better hide

Stay indoors

Take all out precautions

To prevent and contain the spread

To protect ourselves and others

To ward off the onslaught

Of the invisible enemy
