On the occasion of 125th Birth Anniversary Year of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose (Jan 23,2021, Born:1897), the President of India Ram Nath Kovind unveiled the portrait of Netaji Subhas Chandra in New Delhi, stated an official release.
Also, PM Narender Modi released a commemorative stamp on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and paid visit to his ancestral home in Kolkata to pay homage to the great freedom fighter.
Across the country, the day was observed as Parakram Diwas and Netaji's contribution to freedom struggle of India. He was of the view that "Freedom is not given. It is taken", and "No real change in history has been achieved by discussions."
