With decline in COVID-19 cases and vaccine drive initiated, 30-odd Gurudwaras have been decked for Guru Parb on January 20 this year.
After a long time, the festivities at the Sikh worship places are going to be upbeat with sangats / devotees returning to Gurudwaras in the city in bigger numbers.
Though the traditional Nagar Kirtan and Shobha Yatras will not be performed but lighting up of Gurudwaras, Diwan Setting-up, Shabad Kirtan, Asa-Di-Var Kirtan, Sahan Paath, and Sabrat-Da-Bhala Adras events will be in full swing, it is learned.
It may be noted that 'Sarbat-Da-Bhala' (blessings for everyone's propersity and well-being) Ardas is the final term in the Sikh prayer describing the most important of Sikh Principle / Nitnem which is repeated in the Sikh Scripture often.
The statement of this Nitnem is as follows.
Nanak Nam Chardi Kala
Tera Bhane Sarbat Da Bhala!
SIKH ARDAS HAIKU
Pray the Almighty
For well-being of humanity
May all prosper!
***
Say selfless prayer
There is the same God in all
Good be done to all!
***
Born of the same light -
There are no others in world
Wish good to all beings!
