Three day international conference on "Medical Physics, Radiation Protection and Radiobiology" (ICMPRPR) is happening from February 20 to 22 at SMS Medical College auditorium in Jaipur.
"It is grand opportunity for medical physicists, radiation oncologists, radiobiologists, radiation protection experts and radiation dosimetrists to exchange practical experiences and latest research in the disciplines of radiation sciences, medicine and allied science," said the delegate from Delhi, Deepak Arora, who is working as a radiation physicist in premier hospital. He was in town to present his paper "exploring 3d print applications in medical physics".
Over 300 delegates are participating in the conference from India and abroad in which the research papers on the topics of medical science of radiotherapy; Radiation physics in cancer treatment; radiodignosis and nuclear medicine; radiation dosimetry; hazards and protection radiobiology, and other related subjects are being presented.
"I got a meaningful platform to present my work and learn from others and gained new insights in the use of emergent disruptive technologies as well as better use of traditional and new applications of existing technologies in cancer treatment," said Arora who also makes use of expressive arts as a therapy for cancer survivor support groups and invariably attends this annual event to upgrade his knowledge in cancer Preparedness, Response, Protection and Research.
ICMPRPR -2015, organized under the auspices of Association of Medical Physicists of India (Northern Chapter) and Department of Radiological Physics of SMS hospital, Jaipur, is meant to improve the skills of professionals involved in health care services through interaction and training for the benefit of mankind.
