Jaipur to host 22nd National Science Fair of Vidya Bharti Schools from 13-16 November 2024


The 22nd National Science Fair of Vidya Bharti Schools is being held at Sarawati Balika Uchch Madhyamik Vidya Mandir, Jawahar Nagar-2 of Jaipur in Rajasthan, from 13 to 16 November 2024 which will be attended by around 750 students from different parts of the country.


The objectives of the event are: Exposing and encouraging Scientific attitude among students.; Making children realise the relevance of science to society, as well as their responsibilities as scientists of tomorrow; Developing creative thinking, habit of exploration and promoting material manipulative skills among children through self-devised models of simple apparatus.; Stimulating interest in science and inculcating scientific spirit in the younger generation.; Encouraging the problem-solving approach and the development of the appropriate technology, especially for rural areas and integrating scientific ideas related to daily life situations.; Inculcating an aesthetic sense and team spirit among the participants.; Popularising science among the masses and creating an awareness of the role science in the socio-economic growth of the country; Developing appropriate techniques for communication of science; Developing awareness about our glorious cultural heritage of these subjects i.e. Vedic Ganit and


The fair will have four sections, namely, exhibition of science models; scientific talks, science quiz and paper reading. The models based on Waste Management, Means of Transportation, Water Conservation, Simple Machines and Innovative Models will be displayed by the students from different parts of the country. motion agricultural technology, fiber and fabric products, sensors, renewable energy, life processes, renewable energy resources, control of air pollution, EMI -Electro-Magnetic Induction, Nano Technology, Electro Chemistry and Innovative Models will be displayed by the participants.


Science Quiz topic areas are animal life cycle; Type of soil, soil erosion and soil pollution; Natural Disasters; Clothes and Fabrics; Pollution, Space Science Food and Nutrition; Diseases, Know Your Plants, Electric Current and its effects; Wind, storms and cyclones; Force and Pressure; Separation of substances; Physical and chemical changes; Reaching the age of adolescence, Forest : Our lifeline; Body Movement; Atomic Structure; Matter in our Surroundings; Forces and Laws of Motion; Electricity; and Light


The papers on investigatory projects will be read by the students along with discussion on emergent scientific topics and social implications of science and technology.
