This year (2021), the World Food Day 2021 is “Safe food now for a healthy tomorrow” with an aim to enhance awareness and take action for a appreciating the in which creating sustainable surroundings where no one is left hungry.


Many social scientists and economists have stressed the need for sustainable management of food so that no one is left hungry.


Here are the ABCs of sustainable management of food.

A:Action planning for food management on the aspects of Reducing, Reusing, Recycling of food wastage at various levels
B:Bridging the gap between communities which have surplus of food and those who have shortage of food
C:Combusting the farm waste to produce useful products and energy recovery by empowering farmers
D: Deeming wasted food a serious problem of modern consumerist society and converting into untapped opportunity for alternatives
E:Embracing a life-style based on 'needomonics' as promoted and advocated by Indian Economist Prof. MM Goel
