OBSERVANCE OF NAVRATRI IN 2025

The Hindu festival of Shardiya Navratri 2025 begins with Ghatasthapana on September 22, Monday, for self-purification. The festival will end on 30 after honoring Goddess Durga's nine forms through fasting, devotion, piety and self-reflection to understand the inner potential and evoke them leading to realize true purpose of life.

Chandraghanta, hope sees us through.

Kushmanda's poise, a gentle grace,

Skandmata's care, in time and space.

Katyayani, brave and bold,

Kalratri frees from evils' fold.

Mahagauri, focussed, a shining light,

Nine forms of Durga, day and night.

Nine nights bright, a cleansing call,

Purify within, release it all.

Fasting  abates earthly ties,

Austerities help wisdom rise.

Senses tamed, desire subdued,

Self-reflection, understood.

Evils cleansed, the spirit free,

A tranquil mind, for all to see.
