Practice free hand floor art to improve visual intelligence: Award winning artist

Updated: Jun 10, 2022

Freehand rangoli is the ability to draw cultural motifs with hand based on proficiency and observational skills. Free hand floor art, sketching and drawing is done because it takes less time or it is almost instant. It is said to enhance visual intelligence and imagination power of practitioner, says the award winning free hand rangoli artist Dr Lalit Kishore of Jaipur

Freehand floor art is common in many parts of India as a part of social learning since the design is drawn by hand without any guiding instruments, measurements, mechanical tools or other aids on the threshold of the house.

Free hand drawing depends totally upon one's observational power and aptness in eye-hand coordination skills. Practicing free hand drawing is a sheer delightful activity since it is done freely without any artistic pressure.

Dr Kishore has drawn hundreds of floor art design and has been honoured by the " International Show Your Talent" group (see the inset picture)
