Reinforcing and remembering code words of International Phonetic Alphabet through singing

The 26 code words of International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) as follows: Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo, Foxtrot, Golf, Hotel, India, Juliet, Kilo, Lima, Mike, November, Oscar, Papa, Quebec, Romeo, Sierra, Tango, Uniform, Victor, Whiskey, X-ray, Yankee, Zulu.

To remember 26 code words, make learners sing the following song a few times everyday for at least two weeks. Sing slowly like a whisper for phonics awareness, thereafter, sing by building tempo.

~*~

~*~

FRICATIVE SOUNDS POEM

I had the pleasure

To visit the zoo

Saw zebra and sheep

And mighty lions too

~*~

Eight were the foxes

Snakes sounded hiss-n-fizz

Tortoise liked sea-shell

My leisure time spent well!
