Shape change to discernible figures through suggestive strokes can enhance visual intelligence

Visual intelligence development elements can be conscious awareness of shape as a general form / outline / structure / or major area of an object.

For a regular shape, generally, the following three shapes are common.

  • Rectangle / square / diamond shape

  • Pentagon and other multi-sided figures

  • circle

Working on these shapes to create an aesthetic or recognition figure with suggestive strokes or patterns develops visual intelligence since it involves the brain's cognitive function as extension, sequencing, eye-appeal, attentiveness, creation, balance and symmetry.

Here is a DIY micro-video that begins with a square and proceed on to successively drawn suggestive strokes to create a simple floor art of folk and cultural origin in many countries of the East.

Here is some vocabulary related to visual intelligence

  • Shape: Outline form

  • Pattern: Spatial arrangement in the form of suggestive strokes in the obect to which shape is intended to be transformed
