In times when life was uncomplicated and interconnected, festivals served as reminders of cultural and spiritual values. Gradually, these celebrations became increasingly ritualistic, materialistic, and commercialized. Previously, Navratri was celebrated to honor feminine spirituality, emphasizing love, nurturance, compassion, intuition, creativity, and connectedness.

It is essential to revive feminine spirituality to achieve a balance between the inner self and the outer world, which tends to objectify every aspect of human existence. Education and social life must be feminized by reinstating reverence for procreation, nurturance, compassion, and respect for the earth's fertility and nature. The Navratri festival offers an opportunity to reflect on the feminine qualities of Shakti, or the sacred feminine.

COUPLETS

Nine nights arrive, a gentle grace,

Feminine spirit fills this space.

Love's tender touch, a nurturing hand,

Compassion blooming in the land.

Intuition whispers, soft and low,

Creativity starts to brightly glow.

Connectedness, a woven thread,

Binding hearts, where kindness is spread.

Inner self meets outer world,

A balance found, a story unfurled.

Earth's fertile promise, life takes hold,

Nature's beauty, a sight to behold.

Shakti's presence, a quiet might,

Feminine wisdom, shining bright.

Meditate deep, let spirit soar,

Navratri's blessings we adore.
