Teachers! Teachers!! Go away. Pupils wanna learn-n- play

On September 5, we celebrate Teachers’ Day in India and a common practice in schools is that on this day the school and classes are organized by students. Often students give greeting cards, plaques or give gifts to the teachers.
Also, at the state and national levels some teachers are honoured with awards.
Some educators feel that on this day teachers must resolve to assume the role of facilitators as in this rhyme given below.
Teachers! Teachers!!
Go away! Go away!!
Pupils wanna learn-n-play
Teachers! Teachers!!
Go away! Go away!!
Come facilitators,
Show the way.
Many local bodies and community-based organizations also honour the teachers on this day who have produced good results in the public examination.
Here is a cinquain verse on a teacher to know the new emergent role of a teacher.
Teacher
Facilitator, senior co-learner
Creates environment, imparts and analyses experience, generates knowledge
Best teacher is the one who facilitates the learning potential of children
Social reformer
In fact, the Teachers’ Day should be a day of serious reflection on the issues related to the professionalism among teachers.
