The research paper "Experimenting with the Bhagavad Gita Inspired Iconography with Doodling Decoration" jointly authored by Dr Lalit Kishore and Nawal Kishore, alunani of KUK and associated with Vidya Bharati and BNS-NGO was presented at the 10th International Gita Conference on November 26, 2025 at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the university.

"Religious and spiritual icon artwork consists of sacred images, line drawing of religious symbols, text word clouds, mandalas, yantras, calligraphy, clouds figures or events that serve as a focus for prayer, meditation, contemplation, visual focus, concentration and veneration. however, creating such symbolic line drawing with tribal and folk ways of depictions helps in enhancement of attentiveness," said Nawal Kishore.

Showing samples of the Contemplative Artwork of Dr Kishore that make use of icons of the Gita in symbolic drawing with doodling facilitate a connection between the physical and spiritual worlds. At times such art is called iconography which is symbolic art which is not real but patterns decorated representation of reality.

The formula is as follows, said Kishore on the sidelines of the conference

CONTEMPLATIVE ART = ICONOGRAPHY OR SYMBOLIC ART + DOODLING + PATTERN DECORATION

There is a need to encourage the Gita scripture related contemplative art to take mind from unconscious to conscious and subconscious levels and then connect to higher conscious levels. Such art has the potential to take mind to higher conscious levels and the spiritual and philosophical scripture Gita is the perfect medium.
