Towards illustration art practice by academicians, visual researchers and classroom practitioners

Illustration art or narrative art is that type of visual art which has the three elements - character, environment and additional prop - to tell a story. In short one can say that, one can say that a narrative art is a story-visual art or story-image.

Such art is being used in academics and on-line learning these days as well as being used in sketch notes to enliven them.

Since most learners are visual learners, teachers, educators and researchers must learn and practice this art.

1. Read books on line-drawing, shape-drawing, stick-drawing, minimal-drawing, visual-symbol-drawing, sketch drawing, conscious-doodling with patterns decoration, conscious scribbling (for shading) - simple-quick drawing styles (SQDS)

2. Prepare 10 activity-cum-worksheets from the books to develop appreciation for illustration art elements

3. Study 10 illustrations of narrative art pieces and try to interpret them as picture-visual reading

4. Draw 20 illustration-art pieces by modified copying / imitation using acquired SQDS

5. Apply skills for your academic area of work by producing 20 pieces

6. Get feedback and improve by redrawing the produced 20 pieces

My experience in non-art use of art for multiple-development of special educators and educatio-therapeutical use of such art special children, suggests that at least 30-hourse basic illlustration-art course for classroom purposes must be organized so that teachers to tranfer training to ptractice.
