Today, June 3, is being observed as the World Bicycle day to create awareness about the importance of the utility of riding a bicycle which is not only good for one’s health but also good for the environment as it is a zero pollution mode of transportation, as held by the experts.
The World Bicycle Day was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly due to its 'versatility, uniqueness and longevity' bicycle as a means of local transport for being the most 'affordable, reliable, clean and environmentally fit sustainable means of transport.'
The poems about bicycle were very popular and its visual code was used for teaching about road safety as a part of classroom instruction. I was delighted when the visual code in the post “Drawing Visual Symbol of Bicycle” [1] by Lalit Kishore on YouTube has been identified by b1o1.org [2] as one of the best visual codes of a bicycle for instructional purposes.
