Wither politics captive education: A Poem!
A classroom, once a garden bright,
Now fenced, with shadows blocking light.
Politics, a twisting vine,
Has choked the growth, a cruel design.
The words we learn, a curated script,
Where truth is pruned, and voices clipped.
The soil, uneven, some thrive with ease,
While others struggle, catching no breeze.
But see the seed, a tiny spark,
Of justice burning in the dark.
Unlearn the lies, the whispered fears,
And water the earth with honest tears.
Feel in your heart the burning shame,
Of privilege bought, in inequality's name.
Wake up your mind, dissect the code,
Of power structures, unjustly bestowed.
Now rise, disrupt the silent norm,
Rewrite the rules, weather the storm.
Mobilize your voice, a rallying call,
For equal chances, freedom for all.
Strategize, plan, dismantle, rebuild,
A garden where every dream can be fulfilled.
For education's heart, must beat anew,
A future blooming, fair and true.
