The World Food Day-2025 , coordinated by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. is being observed on October 16 with the theme "Hand in Hand for Better Foods and a Better Future"
Here is a poem on the theme
Let's walk hand in hand, it's true,
To fix the food problems, me and you.
Some have so little, tummies bare,
While others waste, beyond compare.
Climate change makes growing hard,
And food systems, often scarred.
We need to work as one big team,
A shared and hopeful, food-filled dream.
Farmers, shops, and folks who eat,
Together make our future sweet.
New rules for food, a better way,
To grow and share, come what may.
Stronger farms and kinder hearts,
So everyone can play their parts.
No hungry mouths, no wasted plate,
A world of food, for all, elate.
In India, at the middle school level, the CBSE is encourages the integration of culinary arts into the curriculum, primarily as a part of the Art-Integrated Learning (AIL) and Skill Education initiatives. "This means schools can offer activities like basic cooking classes for students in grades 6-8 as part of their Art education, focusing on hands-on experience with a strong emphasis on safety and cultural aspects like traditional foods. It also involves integrating culinary concepts across other subjects like science and math," informs an AI search.
