Across the world, academic credit system in education has become prevalent since the students are being evaluated in terms of credits, credit-hours or credit-points earned over a period of study which can be transferred universally for study elsewhere or for re-entry to education at an appropriate level. Now, this system of assessment of students' learning has become accepted right from school education to higher education and PhD programmes.
