Aesthetic-rhythmic physical movements with objects awaken self-awareness & sleeping muscles therapy

In a neighourhood school, on a national festival, an event with tri-colour rings accompanied by music using percussion instruments that involved rhythmic movements of hands, arms, legs and feet was put up after 10 hours of practice with multiple benefits –which can be deemed as a good practice.

It is now well established that that loop bands, rings, ribbons, kites, and many other colourful or decorated objects can be used as physical training tools through aesthetical-rhythmic exercises with percussion music.

Such activities can be used to activate sleeping muscles and and strengthen them. One can get physically active even by using every-day objects like sticks, utensils with handles, water jugs, ropes, cycle tyres, etc., for physical exercises.

Such activities when developed with a protocol not only can be used as creative physical movement and recreational acts such as movement therapy, coordination skills development, social awareness enhancement and for developing tactual aesthetic sensitivity besides physical improvement of children.

Teachers have to be creative to transform physical movements into into acts of aesthetic feeling and therapeutic value.

The implication is that schools should never put up dances by hiring choreographers as cheap imitations and show-offs. Such shows are fads and a disservice to education.
