INTRODUCTION
Sankhya Yoga (Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 2) is the "yoga of knowledge" or attainment of analytical discernment or wisdom level of the mindset as a seeker. It urges intellectual understanding of life and learning union for its own sake and attain the higher consciousness levels with a wise mental equilibrium, helping seekers overcome delusion and fear by recognizing their true, spiritual nature as unconditional thinking, learning, feeling, discerning and realizing individuals. In a way, this yoga path suggests the a pedagogical framework for value-based education for holistic development for seekers and learners and make them lifelong learners.
SHORT NOTE
The fickle and craving nature of the mind and senses, along with a worldly and culturally conditioned mindset, leads to the creation of worldly illusions and traps. Thus, it is essential to unlearn and de-condition the mind, guiding it towards higher-order thinking and elevated levels of consciousness.
We must educate and train our minds to engage in critical and creative thinking to achieve a higher cognitive level. It is important to reshape the mind to reach ethical, wise, and reflective states of consciousness. This journey involves moving from an unconscious state of mind to one of reasoning intellect and ethical wisdom.
To connect life with learning and renewal, we should continuously question and challenge our minds, ensuring they remain fresh and creative. Only those who are wise and creative can reason and reflect on the enticing complex material and sensual world. They are the ones who, transcending the confines of mind, body, and senses, can lead a simple and minimal life while constantly learning and renewing themselves through developing their creative critical and contemplative-reflective cognitive potential.
