Celebrate Women Day with Triangle-Kolams That Represent Women Power: Culurally Link Eventful Learning

In the Tamil kolam patterns, many geometric designs are derived from motifs and shapes blended with social, philosophical, religious and spiritual representations. For example, a downward pointing triangle represented woman power or feminine energy; an upward pointing triangle represented man; while a circle represent the nature.

To welcome the Women Day and Navratri Festival, the downward pointing triangle kolams are preferred. According to an AI search, 'the downward-pointing triangle represents woman or the feminine energy (Shakti), and is also associated with water.'

The practice of drawing Kolams at the entrance of a home serves several traditional purposes related to 'auspicious welcome' as a "painted prayer" intended to invite the divinity into the household. It is also a cultural belief that a Kolam wards off negativity. It is held that the 'completed geometric lines create a barrier that prevents evil spirits from entering the home,' add AI search.

Here is a quintain that signifies the value of culture-based education

In schools, where our roots take a firm hold,

Culture's moores 'n values, be surely told.
