The Western world has included spiritual intelligence as a part of learning theory of multiple intelligences that got evolved in the twentieth century. However, in ancient Vedic traditions, the development of spiritual intelligence and attainment of self-knowledge through Gurukuls and Asharam Shalas was pursued to create wise individuals who lived selflessly and harmoniously in society. With English medium private school thriving on business and corporate models of marketing and managing the schools, there is need to create schools with spirituality and human value of treating every-child dormant divine and school as a community of learners. A focus group (N=3, duration: 2 hours; Over seventy years of age who studied and taught in gurukuls) was organized to work out a Gurukul model of in the present context with centrality of development of spiritual intelligence which is being seen as ultimate intelligence by the modern humanistic psychology. The paper will dwell on the a Neo-Gukukul framework of schooling that equally emphasises Vidya (Self-knowledge), Shiksha (Disciplinary education), Preeksha (formative evaluation and mastery), and (Deeksha or cerification), The framework also talks of social pedagogy of mutual respect, supportive relationship, cooperation (de-emphasis on competition), and sense of belonging to as part of inclusion and equity.
