The Commonwealth Association of Science, Mathematics and Technology Educators (CASTME) award scheme organizers have notified that the last date for submission of the entries is August 31, 2020.
The award scheme is run with an aim of sharing best practice across the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) disciplines and to demonstrate the importance of STEM to local environments, schools and communities, informs the notification.
“Awards are offered for educational projects, which address the social or human context of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Any group or individual involved in any form of education in the widest sense, formal or informal within societies, can enter including pre-school, Primary or Secondary. Additionally, Tertiary education projects can be entered from school, college, university or from communities,” it is reported by the CASTME Vice Chair (Awards) Kathleen Nugent (Kath.Nugent@yahoo.co.uk).
A theme based science learning entry has been submitted by the researcher at Disha, Jaipur, for the CASTME Awards. The projects will be judged by a panel of experts against standardised criteria with the winners for 2020 to be formally announced at the UK ASE conference in January 2021.
