According to the Commonwealth Association of Science. Technology, Mathematics Educators (CASTME), for over 30 years, the CASTME Award Scheme has been highlighting educational projects from across the world which address the social or human context of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
The award scheme is run by the CASTME, an organisation established in 1974, with an aim of sharing best practice across the STEM disciplines and to demonstrate the importance of STEM to local environments, schools and communities.
CASTME further adds that the awards are offered for educational projects, which address the social or human context of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Any group or individual involved in any form of education in the widest senses, formal or informal, within societies can enter including pre-school, Primary or Secondary. Additionally, Tertiary education projects can be entered from school, college, university or from communities.
To confirm if one is eligible to enter, the queries can be made to CASTME Vice Chair (Awards). Kathleen Nugent, at kathnugent1@gmail.com. Besides the three awards, at times commendation awards are also given to outstanding entries.
