Creating curriculum-related memes can sharpen critical-creative thinking & visual intelligence

Memes, in the visual-cum-text variety, are used to convey some “idea, behavior, image or style that spreads from person to person within a culture" as the Merriam-Webster dictionary puts it.

Memes are popular on social media both to convey the flip and flop sides of an idea through a picture, micro-video or GIF.

The photo-cum-text variety of memes are easy to make if one has acquired the creative and critical thinking skill. However, the text has to be short short, thought provoking, quippy and crisp and relatable to the visual directly or indirectly.

I tried my hand on creating a meme on the National Policy of Education after reading a news story about a campaign to promote it since meme ideas can come from anywhere. Even, off-the-cuff remarks or comments can result into reasonable memes.

If a teacher wishes to get create memes with teaching material or learning behaviour, he or she get learn to get creative with your image sources related to the curriculum, teaching or learning behaviour.
