POEM ON DEATH

The great design, a perfect, timeless plan,

Holds every birth, and every final breath.

No single soul, no woman and no man,

Can change the hour of life, or destined death.

For death's a truth, as sure as sun will rise,

It waits for all, a path that none can flee.

So live your days beneath the open skies,

With open heart, and spirit pure and free.

No mortal can forever walk the ground,

If danger passed, and final hour's delayed.

Your death is known, with karma's links unbound,

A fate pre-set, a destiny displayed.

You cannot add one breath, or turn the tide,

Though storms may rage, or danger pass you near.

If fate allows, you'll walk with grace and pride,

Until your destined moment makes it clear.

You cannot plan death, or hold back its pace.

It comes to you, in time and destined place.

Let karma guide, and make your life complete,

Then rest, content, when journey's end you meet.
